coachkellyscott A little progress each day adds up to big results! It's really hard to believe that there are only 30 more days left on this 80 day journey I embarked on back in January! You might be thinking that 80 days is a long time to commit, but it really isn't. Once you get started on a fitness program, the time goes by pretty quickly. Especially when you are feeling full of energy and excitement! Being a part of this 80 day fitness program has reminded me to be patient and trust the process. Although I give my clients this advice all the time, it can be difficult to remember myself. Going into this program my main goals were to develop a more consistent eating pattern (especially on the weekends), gain lean muscle, lose belly fat and feel stronger! I am proud to say that I've accomplished all of the above and I'm not even done yet. Each phase of this program has a specific goal. Phase 1 the body is adjusting to a new fitness and nutrition regimen (weight comes pretty quickly), phase 2 is all about building lean muscle (body fat decreases, weight may not change as much) and in phase 3 will focus on getting shredded, that means the workouts are about to get more intense (weight and body fat decrease)! I want to share my journey as a reminder that small changes compound into big results! I have had social events come up like wine tasting, dinners, happy hours but I did not let that stop my progress. I made sure to never miss a workout, stuck to my meal plan the best I could on the days I had an event/weekend away and focused on making smarter choices (like not drinking or having 1 glass of wine rather than 2, skipping appetizers when eating out, etc). What small choices have you been making in your life that will help lead you towards big results? Maybe you don't know where to start or need support to show you the path.
