WHY hire one? As with every relationship, coaches come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. Today, I am specifically talking about physique coaches. It can be a very vulnerable and raw relationship. You are literally placing your body in someone else’s hands. In my opinion, it is important to form a TRUSTING relationship with your coach. You should trust AND respect them, but also be able to ask questions, voice concerns, and have 110% transparency. These are some of the coaches whom I have worked with. Each and every one of them played a vital role in shaping both who I am as a person/competitor, as well as how I personally coach my own clients. I have had different reasons for a coach throughout the years. Sometimes I needed the PUSH, sometimes the external motivation, and sometimes the empathy and compassion of someone who simply understands. I can’t encourage people enough to test the waters with a coach, see what you like and don’t... you may figure out that you need things you never thought you did. And those things will (should) change over time. ndimegs Some days/weeks you gotta go from being a pony 🐴 to a turtle 🐢 🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹 Been super stressed out all week and I knew training was going to put me in a deeper hole than I could climb out of so I decided to spend my training time working on core stability and a little breathing work to calm myself down. May not be flashy but this is far from easy. The modified all four belly lift, down on my elbows I'm pushing into the ground causing my thorax position to move away from the ground while simultaneously pulling my heels up towards my butt to find hamstrings and glutes giving me a posterior pelvic tilt. valkofitness Heavy drop-sets not only make you look bad a** but are really good to shock your muscles! - *Bro tip* - from now on if someone asks what you’re “hitting” we always(ALWAYS!) start with the arm muscle first.. for example tri’s & chest or bi’s & back.
