colinchristian 'Squeeze' 10 by 8", resin. I should make one in silicone and fill it with cream cheese..........
colinchristian Just imagine for a moment, you are sitting for breakfast, watching morning news, and these a breaking news story, the government announces that UFO's are real, that they are aliens, and they have been visiting us for a very long time, there are more than one species, and the secret cannot be kept on any longer. They have technology that can provide free energy, which is why they have been kept secret, 'free' energy means some people will no longer make any money, and have used that money to keep things hidden. What would you make of that? Concerned, happy? Terrified or cautious? Doubtful, suspicious or angry?
colinchristian 'Miss Cherry Popper' 7ft high, fiberglass. This is before I painted in her nips, so many details!!! 😳😜😜😜😜 I love sculpting the look of Latex, of rubber, the way it wrinkles and folds, so friggin sexy, nothing sexier!!! 🖤 It feels so nice, and makes the wearer look and feel like a super heroine or hero, delicious! Anyone else out there like rubber?
colinchristian I dunno if you watch any of these, but last night I saw an epic Eye Cyst removal video, remarkable surgery! Gave me a few ideas.........anyone else watch these?
colinchristian A piece in progress........ this is all resin, I'm about to sculpt an outfit on top
colinchristian I'm out of the scene so I've only just heard about Greg Escalante who passed on Sept 7th. Greg was the founder of Juxtapoz with Robert Williams, he was the champion of Lowbrow Art and was largely responsible for getting the movement into the spotlight. He was forever encouraging, he directly helped Sas, who got her first show at the then Copronason gallery in Culver City, he was always beautifully dressed and so encouraging to everyone, few characters were so universally liked as Greg, he championed everyone, from those at the top of their game, to those just starting out, Greg was there, giving a friendly push❤️ LA will not be the same without him. All you youngsters, painting your big eyes, skulls, flames, Victoriana, toys, skateboards, monsters, dolls and cars, there are places and people that helped start all the things you love so much, and Greg was one of them💔 Heartbreaking. I offer my condolences to his family and friends, to all those who knew him, this is a sad time indeed. 💔💔💔💔#gregescalante #juxtapoz
colinchristian Daisy and Ziggy at the park, which is our happy place, its woofer Disneyworld where our stinking smellies get to run about like crazy things❤️ Zig gets a little overexcited and keeps jumping on mild mannered Daisy, what a trip they are❤️
colinchristian I was watching 'Blade Runner' again last night, it must be 300 times at least, I never, ever find it less than transfixing, it's beyond reproach, a true masterpiece. I was lucky enough to see it on its release in 82, I worked for a local theater, making decorations for the foyer, I was allowed to watch as many free movies as I wanted. It was 1982, the greatest genre year in history, and even then 'Blade Runner' stood out, I had never seen anything like it, and still haven't, 35 years later. I saw the 2 prequel short films for the sequel online, one with Jared Leto really captures the feel of the original, and the Dave Bautista one is a nice intro into '2049'. There are only 3 movies I love more than 'Blade Runner'-'2001', 'Alien' and 'Jaws', otherwise, it's my favorite movie, the best thing I've ever seen. Will the new one live up to the greatness of the original? I doubt it, but they have the right team on it, so it has the best chance of trying to match it. Sean Young was so beautiful in her future 40's couture, I don't think I've ever seen a more beautiful face on screen, she totally captures lighting in a bottle, a one time event, miraculous perfection, I wonder if that will ever be replicated? I doubt it. I saw the original 5 or 6 times at the theater, my young self was still reeling from 'Alien' 3 years earlier, then that came along and I was knocked off my feet again, but not like now, because it improves with age, it's even more beautiful now, and most disturbingly, back then this was called 'Dystopian', no one could believe the future would be this bleak, now of course, it looks positively optimistic, in 35 years, that's how much shittier the world got💔 go watch 'Blade Runner, The Final Cut' it's one of the greatest movies ever made, it deserves every second of praise, in my opinion, that praise does not go far enough. #yousuckatwatchingmovies
colinchristian Get off my lawn! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
colinchristian Goodnight,sleep tight......😱
colinchristian Lovely sparkly 'Old One' off to a new home.....😍🐙
colinchristian Hanging out with Daisy and Ziggy, watching a bird documentary on tv last night. We bring up their cushions and blankies on to the couch and snuggle, they eat bonies, play with toys, wrestle, give us kisses then watch tv. I've found all of our dogs respond well to certain kinds of music, things like Radiohead, Sigur Ros and some electronic soundtracks, they find it very relaxing, just like their dad, who loves them with all his heart❤️❤️❤️ My babies😍
colinchristian This is Cinder, a chimpanzee who suffered from alopecia universalis, a condition that rendered her completely hairless over her entire body. I'll be honest, I'm not a big fan of chimps, I love animals, I adore gorillas, gibbons, baboons... but not so much chimps, it's clear why, that 98% is looking back at me, it couldn't be any more obvious, our closest relatives, and I'm not a fan of people for the most part. Remarkable creature though, she is magnificent.
colinchristian Ziggy is trying to chase a Blue Heron, I had to put him on a lead! Crazy little fella!
colinchristian Goodnight, sleep tight.......😱
colinchristian When it comes to movies, I'm a 'Star Wars' guy, but as far as TV? I am a hardcore Trekkie, obsessive even, I've seen every episode of all the seasons of all the shows at least 3 times each, with Original series and Next Gen, bump that up 10 times😂😂😂😂 So with 'Discovery' on its way, I was surprised to see 'The Orville' on Fox, how can it be any good? I love Seth, I know he is nuts about Trek and science like me, but trying to do Trek without Starfleet, Klingons, and Vulcans? 🤔🤔🤔🤔 So, I've given it a shot on Hulu, holy shit, it's great!! The tone is all over the place, but they have everything there to make it work, good characters, recognizable set up, a super cute security officer, fun silly aliens, very nifty FX, awesome sets and makeup, shit, its 'Star Trek' with extra laughs!!! For fans of STTNG, it's instantly comfortable, like an old friend. Well, it's ST lite, but it's certainly worth checking out, I would advise they just go full drama, get some great Sci Fi writers in, fuck it!!!! 🖖🏻🖖🏻🖖🏻🖖🏻🖖🏻🖖🏻🖖🏻🖖🏻🖖🏻🖖🏻If you love Trek, you loved Galaxy Quest? Then give this a go, worth your time!! 👽👽👽👽 #theorville #startrek
colinchristian What I think about The Rapture and those that believe it.
colinchristian David Meade, who claimed the world will end Saturday, said doomsday isn't this weekend after all. “The world is not ending, but the world as we know it is ending,” he told The Washington Post. “A major part of the world will not be the same the beginning of October.” Hmmmn.🤔 1844 American Baptist teacher William Miller first shared publicly his belief in the coming Second Advent of Jesus Christ in 1833, predicting he would return in the year 1843. The Millerites were his followers and Millerism became a national movement, however when Jesus didn’t arrive, October 22, 1844, became known as the Great Disappointment. 1997 Twenty years ago, 29 members of Heaven’s Gate, a UFO religious millenarian group, committed suicide with the aim of boarding a UFO they believed was hiding behind the Hale-Bopp comet before the supposed end of the world. Planet X was also supposedly discovered by the ancient Sumerian people and was meant to hit Earth in 2003, but never arrived. “This catastrophe was initially predicted for May 2003, but when nothing happened the doomsday date was moved forward to December 2012 and linked to the end of one of the cycles in the ancient Mayan calendar at the winter solstice in 2012,” say Nasa. 2011 The end of the world was also supposed to arrive on 21 May 2011, with Christian doomsday prophet Harold Camping predicting the Rapture would begin at 18:00 in each of the world's time zones, wiping out nay-sayers with rolling earthquakes as believers ascended to heaven. 2012 Nasa had to debunk an ancient Maya prophecy theory about the world ending back in 2012. The Mayan connection “was a misconception from the very beginning,” astrophysicist Dr. John Carlson said at the time. “The Maya calendar did not end on Dec. 21, 2012, and there were no Maya prophecies foretelling the end of the world on that date." 2015 Chris McCann, leader and founder of the eBible fellowship, said the world would be engulfed and destroyed by a great fire on October 7. McCann said he was "surprised" by the outcome and wrote a blog post entitled: "A response to being incorrect with the prediction that, in all likelihood, the world would end on October 7." 😂😂😂
colinchristian Bath time! Beautiful Padme is having a nice bath and some alone time, Tron was getting a bit frisky and bitey, it happens with tortoises, but Padme was having none of it today, so it's pamper time💚❤️ Such lovely animals, she has double in length and quadrupled in weight since we first got her, she really is pretty, her face is very symmetrical, her eyes are a lovely color, during the summer her colors get brighter, quite vivid, and she has such a calm demeanor, always friendly and happy. We have a super soft mango waiting for her and a lovely warm towel for snuggling. Only the best for my family❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
